Roof rejuvenation has earned some skepticism; there are over-promisers in this space. Below is the straight comparison, the real lifetime cost, and how to tell a legitimate renewal from a sales pitch.

How your four options compare
We're a roof-renewal company, so we have a point of view, but every figure here is one you can check. Renewal is the right call for an aging-but-sound roof, not a failed one.

The number that actually matters
15-year cost for a typical home
Rejuvenation isn't one-and-done. Most services charge you again every five years. Ours doesn't. Here's how the lifetime cost compares.
Laminar Roof Renewal
$1,175
once, re-treatment free for life
One flat price, then we re-treat free every 5 years. Your 15-year cost doesn't go up.
National rejuvenation franchise (Roof Maxx®)
$5,400–$10,800
≈ 3 paid applications over 15 yrs
Rejuvenation only, reapplied and re-paid every ~5 years at $1,500–$3,600 each.
Full roof replacement
$12,000–$16,000
tear-off & new roof
The most disruptive and expensive path: days of work, and you may repeat it.
Illustrative, for a typical single-family (Standard) home. Competitor figures are typical published ranges from DreamHome Remodeling, authorized Roof Maxx® dealer, dhremodeling.com (June 2026); actual prices vary by home and provider. Buyer beware: the honest checklist
How not to get burned buying roof rejuvenation
The complaints you read about roof rejuvenation trace back to the same things: empty warranties, untrained crews, and over-promising. Ask anyone these questions, including us. Our answers are below.
Is the price and warranty in writing before any work?
Yes. You get a flat price and the full written warranty before we start. No verbal-only promises, no surprise add-ons.
Who actually honors the warranty if something goes wrong?
We do. We apply the treatment and we stand behind it, not a distant manufacturer that can point fingers. The treatment carries its own 5-year product guarantee on top.
Will they tell you if your roof is NOT a good candidate?
Yes. If your roof needs replacement, we say so. We won't sell you a treatment that can't help. That's the whole reason Laminar exists.
Is it a trained crew, or whoever showed up?
Owner-led. AJ, a USMC veteran and engineer, is on the job with a trained local crew. Poor application is the #1 way rejuvenation goes wrong; we don't subcontract it out.
Are the claims honest about what it can't do?
Yes. Renewal won't fix leaks, rot, structural damage, or missing shingles, and it can't revive an end-of-life roof. Anyone promising otherwise is overselling.
What does it really cost over time?
One flat price, then re-treatment free for life, not a fresh bill every five years. Ask any rejuvenation company for the 15-year number before you sign.
See for yourself, free and no pressure
We'll fly your roof, show you the photos, and tell you honestly whether renewal is the right call, or whether it isn't.
